Damien Coppieters has been a Partner at Clairfield Belgium since its inception. He has 15 years of experience as a commercial banker and over 25 years of experience as an Investment Banker.
Damien began his career with Generale Bank in 1974 and was active in credit, syndicated loans, and corporate banking. In 1987, he started his new role at Group Banque Nationale (BNP), where he worked as a Commercial Banker initially and was later appointed as Managing Director of Banexi Benelux, the investment bank of the BNP. In 1997, he moved to MeesPierson Corporate Finance in Amsterdam and then joined KPMG Corporate Finance in 2000 as Director in the new Brussels office.
In early 2005, Damien co-founded SynCap Belgium, which became the Belgian representative of Clairfield International. Over the course of his career, Damien has advised on transactions in a large variety of sectors, however his focus has been on Business Services and Food & Beverages. In addition to his experience in mergers and acquisitions, Damien has extensive experience in Structured Finance.
Damien holds a degree in Commerce and Finance from the ICHEC in Brussels.
